The Cosmology Group of the Hermanus Astronomy Centre will be presenting its Cosmology Lectures via DVD at SANSA (formerly the Magnetic Observatory) at 7.30 pm.

Thursday 7 July
The Hermanus Astronomy Centre will hold its monthly meeting at SANSA (formerly the Magnetic Observatory) at 7.00 pm. Centre member David Kershaw will e presenting a DVD entitled ‘The story of CERN: a fifty year journey into the heart of the matter’. This will be followed by stargazing from the SANSA car park (weather permitting). An entrance fee of R20 will be charged per person for non-members and R10 for children & students. The Hermanus Astronomy Centre will hold a Beginner’s Astronomy evening at 7.00 pm at SANSA (formerly the Magnetic Observatory). It will be the first DVD in a five-part BBC series titled ‘Wonders of the solar system’ presented by Prof. Brian
Cox. Part 1: ‘Empire of the Sun’. This will be followed by stargazing from the SANSA car park (weather permitting).
